Meet Your Board

Our Las Lomitas Board is made up of neighbors just like you—residents who care deeply about keeping our community a great place to live. From planning events to addressing neighborhood concerns, we’re here to serve, listen, and connect.

Las Lomitas has recently restructured the board, and we’re excited to introduce the members helping make a difference in our community.

We currently have openings for two additional board members. If you’re a resident interested in getting involved, we would love to hear from you!

Board President

Anne Shaw

Anne has been a Las Lomitas resident for over 30 years, and has been a Board Member for over eight years. She currently works in Education and volunteers with the New Mexico Medical Reserve Corp. Anne is passionate about fostering a vibrant, welcoming environment for all families and aims to increase resident participation in association meetings and neighborhood events.

Connie Smith-Fassler

Connie Smith-Fassler has been a resident of the Las Lomitas neighborhood since November 2022 and lives on Camino del Venado with her family. She appreciates the neighborhood's central location, how easy it is to get around Albuquerque, and especially the community's friendliness and welcoming spirit. Connie has been a registered nurse for 40 years, including the past 30 years in New Mexico, and currently works as faculty at the University of New Mexico College of Nursing. She has been volunteering with the Las Lomitas Neighborhood Association since the summer of 2024 and formerly served on the Board as Secretary.

Angelica Tafoya

Angelica has been a resident of Las Lomitas neighborhood since September 2019 and has enjoyed being part of the community. She and her husband, Jeremy, share their home with two kids, two dogs, and seven hens. Angelica works in education and is also a photographer, blending her passion for connection, creativity, and organization in everything she does. She has proudly served on the Las Lomitas Board for about a year, contributing her skills to support neighborhood projects and community engagement. When she’s not advising students or capturing moments behind the camera, she enjoys spending time in the backyard with her flock and family.
